Section 1. Information Society: Education, Ethics, Law
With the advent of new communicative areas of activity in society, there is a need to rethink moral and ethical standards. Key issues remain universal unhindered access to information, mutual respect and respect for human rights, the fight against cybercrime, and the creation of a fair and multicultural information society. Ethical and legal aspects of the information society are the priority in the activities of UNESCO.
Section 2. Digital Wave: Truth and Post-Truth
The globalization of the economy, the technological development of the media, the active use of social networks allow us to talk about the transition of society to a new information state. The huge flow of information created by the digital society is characterized by a low percentage of true statements and facts. The blurring of the boundaries between fiction and truth, falsification of data, and the pretentious interpretation of historical events give rise to the phenomenon of post-truth.
Section 3. Smart Nations: Industrialization, Innovation, Infrastructure
The concept of Smart Nations, a balanced management system for transnational social and economic systems, requires the creation of a new infrastructure for the integration of innovations in a modern industrial setting. Infrastructure changes in social and economic systems lead to an improvement in the quality of life of the population through the integration and creation of environmentally friendly and energy-efficient industries.
Section 4. One second: gender equality, access to education for girls and women
A necessary condition for social progress and sustainable development is gender equality and providing of equal opportunities for women and men to exercise the fundamental rights and freedoms enshrined in the UN Human Rights Declaration. Gender equality in access to education for girls and women implies significant shifts in the structure of employment in the digital economy, significantly expanding the opportunities offered by international organizations and associations to women.
