On the 28th of September the world celebrates one of the international holidays in the United Nations system — International Day of Universal Access to Information.

The event is held to draw attention to the importance of providing access to information for the implementation of activities in the field of sustainable development around the world.

For the first time, the International Day of Universal Access to Information was celebrated on the 28th of September 2016. This event consists of plenary sessions, workshops and technical sessions.

The UNESCO Chair of the State University of Management emphasizes the importance of this international holiday. Access to information is a key vector for the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and for upholding the rights and dignity of every person.
